A Year of Growth, Change and New Opportunities at World of Swimming

2025 has been a landmark year in our journey, one that reflects not only our growth as a swim school, but our commitment to creating long-term careers in swimming and delivering the highest-quality lessons for our swimmers.

For more than 20 years, families across the South have known us as Wessex Swim School, Totton Swim School, and Radley Swim School. Earlier this year, we made the exciting decision to unite all three under one brand: World of Swimming.

World of Swimming has always been the umbrella for our swim teacher training and qualifications, so bringing our swim schools together under the same identity felt like the natural next step. With our rapid expansion across Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire, it was the right moment to align our teams, our culture, and our long-term vision.

Significant Growth Across the South

This year alone, World of Swimming has welcomed three new locations into our family:

These pools have brought hundreds of new swimmers into our programme and strengthened our presence across Hampshire.

And we’re not stopping there.

From January 2026, we are excited to launch London Swim School, a new premium branch of our organisation designed to deliver exceptional, individualised swim tuition in the capital, while proudly being part of the World of Swimming Group.

Building Careers, Not Just Jobs

A key part of this transition was ensuring we could offer job security, clear progression, and meaningful career pathways within swimming. To support this, we introduced a new team structure that recognises skill, passion and leadership at every level.

Our New Career Pathway

🏊‍♂️ Swim Assistants
Learning on the job, supporting lessons in the water, and gaining experience under the guidance of our qualified instructors.

🏊‍♀️ Swim Instructors
Qualified, confident and passionate teachers who bring lessons to life through expert teaching and encouragement.

🏊 Swim Supervisors
The face of each pool,  supporting swimmers, parents, and instructors while ensuring every session delivers Safe, Fun, Progress.

🏊‍♂️ Swim Managers (NEW)
Responsible for the day-to-day running of their pools. Overseeing teams, enquiries, operations and swimmer experience.

🔑 Operations Managers (NEW)
A crucial new leadership role, supporting Swim Managers, maintaining our high standards, and onboarding new teams as we expand.

Celebrating Our First Operations Managers

We are absolutely thrilled to announce the promotion of Ana Costa and Rosie Hayes,  two longstanding, exceptional members of our Totton and Radley teams, to become our first ever Operations Managers.

Their passion for swimming, dedication to their teams and commitment to our values shines through in everything they do. We couldn’t be prouder to see them take this next step.

Looking Ahead

As World of Swimming continues to grow  across Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, and soon London, so does our commitment to nurturing talent from within.

We want our people to build careers they are proud of. Roles that offer purpose, progression and the chance to truly make a difference.

This year marks the beginning of a new chapter for our organisation, and we are incredibly excited to see more of our brilliant team step into new roles as we expand our pools, programmes and impact.

Here’s to the future and to the incredible people who make World of Swimming what it is today.
