Lessons for All Abilities

We follow the Swim England Adult Swimming Framework, which means every lesson is structured around your personal goals and confidence levels. Our classes are small, friendly, and tailored to help you progress at your own pace and you’ll be grouped with others of a similar ability.

Be a Better Swimmer

Now you’ll have the skills and stamina to swim confidently over longer distances, up to 400 metres. You’ll also be ready to enjoy other pool activities like lane swimming or Aquacise. To keep progressing, you can challenge yourself with Adult Distance Awards of 50m, 100m, and 200m.

Be Water Confident

Start with the basics. This stage focuses on helping you feel comfortable and safe in the water. You’ll learn how to enter and exit the pool safely, move around with ease, and develop key skills like floating, balance, buoyancy, and aquatic breathing.

Be a Swimmer

Here you’ll begin swimming short distances on your own, usually 5 to 10 metres, without floats or support. At this stage, you can also aim for distance milestones like 5m, 10m, or 25m with the Adult Distance Awards.

Be a Master Swimmer

The final stage gives you the confidence and ability to take your swimming to the next level, whether that’s joining a Masters club, training for a triathlon, or swimming outdoors in open water. You’ll refine advanced techniques and can aim for distance milestones of 800m or even 1 mile.
