Looking to become a swimming teacher?

You’ll need to complete the STA Swimming Teacher Qualification — the essential first step to starting your teaching journey.

This course provides all the key skills and knowledge you need to teach non-swimmers through to improver stages, as well as adult swimmers.

It’s a 6–7 day course, open to anyone aged 16 and over, with no previous experience required.

We also recommend holding the STA Safety Award to complement your qualification.
