This course is designed for qualified swimming teachers who want to develop the skills and confidence to teach swimmers with disabilities and additional needs.

You will learn how to adapt your teaching methods, activities and equipment to deliver safe, inclusive and progressive swimming lessons tailored to each swimmer’s individual needs.

Course Prerequisites

Learners must:

  • Be aged 16 or over
  • Hold the STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming or an acceptable equivalent

Please note that a Level 1 or assistant swimming teaching qualification does not meet the entry requirements. All prerequisites must be provided before the course begins.
